Future Shop Invites Toronto to The Ultimate Free Gaming Event, including Video Games Live Show at Yonge-Dundas Square

Family event brings sounds of the video gaming world to life and will crown city's Ultimate Gamer

– On Saturday, June 21st, Yonge-Dundas Square erupts with an all-day social gaming competition, and a thrilling free family concert in the evening of Video Games Live - the world's largest and most successful video games concert. Toronto's gamers and entertainment enthusiasts alike are invited to enjoy a day of gaming including participating to be crowned the city's Ultimate Guitar Hero and have the chance to play a game in front of thousands with the Video Games Live Orchestra! The music of the evening will feature soundtracks of memorable games including Nintendo’s Super Mario Brothers and The Legend of Zelda by way of a 43 piece orchestra and choir. Video Games Live marries the music of interactive segments - a show that will be memorable for all ages.

            10:00 am – 6:00 pm: Attendees can compete in the Ultimate Gamer competition, playing Guitar Hero at video gaming booths             in Yonge-Dundas Square, as well as cheer on participants; X BOX and Nintendo will be on site
            6:00 pm – 7:30 pm: Ultimate Guitar Hero competition playoffs
            8:30 pm – 11:00 pm – Free Video Games Live concert, including a set where the Ultimate Gamer performs with the orchestra
