The only one I played was Knights of the Old Republic, but I deeply enjoyed it.

Aha, i understand. Well, while I personally would recommend including the first of the ME series in your life experience, the other two games will stand alone just fine... you don't HAVE to import a previously created character, though I think its very neat to be able to do so.

You may be slightly confused by the storyline coming into it without any background, however, reading through the plotline as laid out in a wiki somewhere will give you enough understanding of what the heck is going on. In my opinion, BioWare has really managed to marry RPG to FPS beautifully in these games, and so if you like either of those genres, i feel you will enjoy this series. the graphics are lovely, and the story is compelling and credible, and there is plenty of opportunity for just having fun, going on side quests, talking to NPC's, engaging in questionable activites, driving your planetary exploration vehicle around, and much more.

So, if you decide to spend the cash to play one or all of these games, I trust that you won't be disappointed!

Edit: And don't listen to Swish. He's just a troll, after all

I'd be a pretty crap troll if the most inflammatory thing I could think of to say about a popular videogame was "slightly awkward" in reference to one aspect of its control scheme.

Recently jumped back into Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Also been playing a bit of Call of Duty: MW3 (there's more than just angry teens that play it. Gamers such as myself do too, you know )

By the way, am I the only person who thought Skyward Sword was the best Zelda game of all time?

Playing Pokémon Snap at the moment. For some reason I always fall back toretro gaming when it's warm and sunny outside.

I tend to faint when it gets too hot outside, so I'm stuck inside my house when everyone gets out

I do the same thing; I play NES games (especially SMB3) more during the summer than I usually do. Actually I kind of go through seasonal cycles of gaming... I tend to play stuff like FF and KH during the winter while I take out the SNES during the spring. Not really sure why, but different seasons put me in the mood for different games

Lately I've been on sort of a Lord of the Rings Online run. It's really the only MMO I play... Warcraft always sounded a bit too hectic, although I've never really played it; I've heard that LotRO's community is a bit more mature as well and the game in general is a bit more low key, which I like.

IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE!

Just finished Metroid Prime 3: Corruption earlier today. Starting on Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, and I'm hoping to dive back into some Grand Theft Auto 4, or some Halo Reach.

Also, played started Twilight Princess and am about 2 hours in. (Just started first dungeon).

It's game-tastic! I have to ask. Anybody here planning to buy Halo 4? I know Songbird & Worf are sure bets (and I might try it, but without Bungie ... I mean, Microsoft is no Nintendo when it comes to 3rd party games. I think it'll be good, but ... I just don't know.)

And one last thing - I have a confession. Even though I'm a hardcore gamer - I never played Skyrim. Even though I asked for the music for it in a thread, I never played the game .... I probably need to get on that, set aside a week - pull some all nighters, and play it!
