I'm surprised they repaired my Xbox 360 this time, because the last time they gave me a new one. That being said it makes me wonder how long this 'repaired' one will last; if it has to do with the Bioshock series then it should last up into 2012.
![]() It's been said before, but I find it ridiculous a current console has such issues compared consoles to from the past which I still have and never had a problem with them... |

The more advanced the tecnology, the more delicated it gets. Smaller components, tighted in. More dedicated materials, less resistant in most of the cases etc...

Well, that's not exactly true. As mentioned previously the biggest issue with the Xbox 360 was the legislation which stopped them from using lead based solder. Damn good stuff that, but because it contains lead which is technically not good for us or the environment, governments saw fit to outlaw its use in electronics. As a result companies were forced to use stuff that wasn't quite as good as a replacement, and as such electronic equipment is suffering for it.
Generally, with the reduction in the size of processors, or more specifically the ability to cram more onto the same area, there are less bits to go wrong. Its just that its harder to actually repair them because they aren't all on show now. In most cases its cheaper and easier to replace the whole thing than it is to fix whatever went wrong. Obviously this isn't true for all cases, but generally, the fact you can't open stuff up and go at it with a soldering iron is what is making all of this more awkward.

I work in a permanent indoor flea market. Nice job, good times. As we offer new content every day, we need to replace the boxes at the beginning of each day.
So, yesterday, I was just doing that. Boxes of old videos, books, toys etc. Untill my eye fell on something while I was putting down a box full of glasses. A tiny little logo of the N64 was visible. So I gently picked up some of the glasses, to see what it was. Within the next 30 seconds, I drew out 10 complete games! Boxes and inlays/booklets and all! Not just any old games, but classics! A tetris game for the SNES, Secret of Mana, A Link to the Past, Donkey Kong 64 (WITH expansion pack), Mario Party 1,2 AND 3, Banjo-Kazooie, Paper Mario and the best one of all; Majora's Mask! <3 My entire week has been made with that litte find, and it got even better, when I got them from the manager for FREE!!! /rant |

Haha, you should have just sneakily taken one while pretending you were texting or something (if you have a cell phone with a camera)
! That's one of the sometimes creepy things about camera phones; I'm always paranoid about people doing that on the bus or something o_o.
