How Do You Know What "Special Event" Would Go On At The Next Concert?
I show that they have contests and game try-outs.
But do they ever mention which ones will take place at each location?
Thanks,

Normally they announce the specifics of the pre-show festivities and post-show meet and greet within a week or two of the show on the VGL homepage.
Just occasionally it turns up in newsletters too if memory serves.

We always have a Guitar Hero II and Space Invaders competition. We also always do a Costume Contest and this summer we'll be giving out free product demos of certain games. Extra things really depend on the show. In Houston there are going to be around 30 - 40 other game demos to try out courtesty of GameCrazy! Our Dallas & Detroit shows will also have GameCrazy presence. We also always do the post-show meet & greet and depending on the area... have had anywhere from 5 - 50 industry people!
We've had all sorts of other special & unique stuff... As Swish mentioned we try to put out the information on the website a week or so before the show... but we also send out e-mails to local areas around the show to our mailing list members. My best suggestion would be to make sure to sign up to the mailing list.
What show were you considering going to? Maybe I can give you some "inside" information.
:)
Thanks!

Thank you for your help!
I am waiting for the Orlando Show. I have been keeping a very close eye on that list for over 9 months and the show keeps being pushed back. Any ideas when those dates will be and when they will be released?

I think that the descriptions that the venues post should have more information about things like this..at least a note to visit the VGL site for detailed event info.
I didn't realize there were so many 'bonus' events before and after.
I noticed for the DSO they do mention the website, but it might have been helpful to at least say something like 'please check videogameslive.com for the latest information on events before and after the concert'
On the season calendar all it said was
"Hear some of the greatest video game music of all time - LIVE! Perfectly synchronized cutting-edge video screen visuals, live-action segments and an audience interactive component make this an explosive entertainment experience."

I'm hoping for some super-great events before and after the Louisville, KY show. I'll attend as many as my meds allow! :)
