You guys should definiately come the De Kuip in Rotterdam! The acoustic sound in that place is awesome, almost near perfection. Plus it's a good place that is in good reach of many people

Ah yes, but isn't De Kuip a stadium? As I mentioned in the other thread, there's a concerthall in Amsterdam. Both Amsterdam and Rotterdam are easy to reach.
De Kuip is large, but usually features pop/rock concerts.
Concerthal is small, but usually features classical music.

Well, Amsterdam isn't as accesible as Rotterdam, due to the limited parking spaces and all

Amsterdam....Rotterdam.....just as long as you come to the Netherlands you'll make me very happy :).

Maybe Arnhem is suited too?

Arnhem could do, although it's a 1,5 hour trainride for me, instead of the 30 minutes to Rotterdam. Anyways, maybe Utrecht would be best, since that would be probably the center of Holland, but I still prefer Rotterdam though

Always better than flying all the way to America:D
The travel time doesnt bother me...
No matter how long it takes to get there, VGL is worth all the time i got :D

I don't care where it's held over here, as long as the sound is ok.
Public transportation gets you almost anywhere here, plus it's free for me on Mon-Fri, hehe :D

They added Amsterdam to the tour dates...without any further info. Dunno if this already was there some time ago.

Now that I know this, I cannot stop drooling over my keyboard! Need....more...info.....

Reviving an old thread, as why make a new one for Holland when there's a perfectly good one already?
Albeit it's over 1 yr old, but it works.

Ok, so I see Holland has been added to the TBA list for 2009, yet I see the tour has Jan - November (With the exception of Aug/Sep/Oct) booked up rather full too.
Should I hope against hope that VGL shall descend in all it's glory upon this small country or plee for a 2010 event?

If hoping and suggesting is the way to go then the previous venue suggestions (Rotterdam / Amsterdam / Utrecht / Arnhem) all have several different venues for this, easily accessible by public transport (Rot and Ams being the best for cars though) etc etc.
Hoping for a 2009 VGL venue!

Yup, I've been trying to tell people that, but the Holland show just keeps on getting pushed back...

It's like we don't matter at all :(

And that while musicians like to play in European countries... we give ourselves 100% when we're there....

Yay....

Holland's been pushed back...AGAIN!!!

I'm getting a bit tired of this... They're playing in most of the countries surrounding us, but too far for me to travel there.

So PLEASE

COME TO HOLLAND, WE NEED YOU!!!

Loved seeing you when I was visiting Paris, but I'd really love to see you come to Holland or Belgium, so I can see your wonderful concert again in my own country, with all my friends! :)

This + 1:
Rotterdam please :)
I've watched the tour dates since 2007, was thrilled when Holland got on. Disappointed that you were never here though. Paris has been visited near december 17th for 3 consistent years (with the exception of 2009, where it was at the end of november).
So maybe a spot near that? :D
After 2 years no, 3rd year yes? Imho you owe us that :P

And Holland has been removed from the list completely....

Come on, when is it going to be our turn?

Stop Brazil shows, American shows, do a proper European tour and add Holland to the list.

I contacted them trough this site, and got an answer fairly quickly. I lost that mail, since it was quite some time ago... :(

http://www.orkest.nl/contact

The site is Dutch, but the lay-out is like this:

Gender: Pick Mevrouw for Female, and De Heer for male

Name
Last Name
mail adress
and then the message

Hope something will come out of this!!!!

To chip in, another suggestion is to contact the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, who perform in "De Doelen" concert hall.

The orchestra performed Fellowship of the Ring, last year, and going for the Two Towers next: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kaam823T4dk&feature=related

Some information about the concert hall:
http://www.dedoelen.nl/congressen/english/grote_zaal_complex/
http://www.dedoelen.nl/cms_files/system/images/img0538_03.jpg

The Grote Zaal Complex is reached via its own entrance at the Schouwburgplein, and comprises an entrance hall, a spacious foyer, a large auditorium and a number of smaller spaces. The seating capacity of the Grote Zaal varies from 1.755 for corporate events to 2.100 for concerts. The hall’s design allows optimal interaction between platform and audience, making it an ideal venue for corporate events. State-of-the-art facilities in sound amplifications and reproduction, projected image are available in this hall.

To contact the orchestra, you can use the following contact information:
https://www.rpho.nl/english-summary/contact/

I hope you can work something out, I would love to see you perform in the Netherlands.
