Yes. I absolutely love this piece (Unforgotten from Halo 2 Soundtrack Vol. 2) and I was wondering if anyone else thinks it should be in VGL's show. I think this piece would be a nice side of Halo to show to people, that Halo's music isn't all E Dorian strings on the theme of E-F#-G-A. I mean, you can't go wrong with this song's gentle strings in the first half and the moving piano in the second half. Anyone agree?

I always thought the piano bit was a bit cheesy, but yeah, other than that it's a lovely piece.
For subtlety in Halo 2 my personal favourite is Respite (track 10 at 1:32 on Vol 2), or its arrangement over the credits sequence Road to Voi (track 12 at 1:03). Gorgeous music.
I totally agree that the VGL people should sort out playing different suites from their big games, and this would top my list. After all, people often complain that the show hasn't really changed for years.

Marty's piano? Cheesy? Never! :P
Yeah, Respite is a real good bit of music. But, I think Unforgotten would be a better choice because it's unlike anything else Marty's written for Halo.

I've suggested Unforgotten as well. If they have Vai and Marty play together in LA again I want them playing that. An arrangement of Unforgotten/Reclaimer. I know everyone loved the premiere of the Finish the Fight because Marty was playing. It was amazing seeing him playing his own music.
EDIT: I meant Unyielding/Reclaimer.

I'm quite sure it wouldn't be a matter of difficulty; it's a really simple piece. I mean, the strings just repeat the same thing twice and I transcribed the piano part myself in a day or so. It'd actually, probably, be one of the easier pieces the orchestras would be doing.
