CosPlay?

Hi everyone. Well i'm going to be attending the VGL show in NYC on the 26th. I was wondering if cosplay is allowed at these events, or if they are encouraged. If it is allowed are there any regulations on it.. And aside from that, if it is allowed are there like Cosplay contests?

Cosplay is DEFINITELY allowed. In fact, there is a cosplay contest, with the best costume winning prizes.

Thanks alot! Now i just have to convinve my dad to take me to my mom's house to get my costume, and then wear it to VGL!! :D
