I was just thinking about some good tracks to play at this years VGL for London, and I just thought of a amazing set of songs: Lost Odyssey.

It's composed by the same guy who did the Final Fantasy music, and boy it shows! It's his best work since FFX, and right now the best old-school RPG on the 360, let alone of 2008! In particular I think that the Main Theme and Battle Theme would be damn good! This is the Main Theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJbzRHZR0pU&feature=related), and this is the Battle Theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzM5GeeLjJ8).

So, what do you guys think?

Not a bad idea. It'd probably be a lot easier to secure some of Uematsu's music with accompanying visuals from Mistwalker than from Square-Enix.

Yeah, and that's another reason. I really hope Tommy takes this into consideration.

Any more thoughts from anyone else?

Lost Odyssey is great, but I don't feel it has (yet) that kind of "legendary" reputation yet. All of the games featured in VGL (at least the concert I saw, I understand they change up the tracklist) were classics.

Some might say God of War is also "too new," or nothing special either, but contrary to Lost Odyssey, God of War got better reviews, and has already been around long enough to rack up three games in the series.

I think if Lost Odyssey came up on the screen, there'd be a handful of people who'd be like, "F yeah!" while everyone else would just enjoy the music, without a connection to it as a game in memory. Part of the appeal of the show to me was the feeling you get when seeing MGS1 or hearing Terra's Theme, it's so nostalgic and takes you back years. Lost Odyssey is still on the shelf as a $60 game.

I say all this, yet BioShock is on their tracklist. I guess my point of view is different because they didn't play any BioShock at the show I saw.
