View Full Version : Playstation 4
So, Sony revealed it's working on a new home entertainment system. After the development of grahical and processing power to the point where we are now, what do you guys think that'll be the tricks on the sleave on the next generation Playstation?

More RAM than usual would be nice. Memory has always been the Achilles' heel of home console development.
But, seriously, I'm amazed it's been reported so widely that they're working on it. "Hardware manufacturer has R&D department". WHAT A SCOOP.
This isn't news, guys.

Sure it isn't, it is 2 days old. To be news, it would have to be, at max, from yesterday.
And I'm not amased, frankly, after they bet on Move, as Microsfot invested in Kinect, I think it would be to expect to extend Playstation's 3 life cycle. Of course Move didn't have the impact they expected.

Considering I still haven't dragged myself into the current generation of consoles yet (currently, my free time is better geared around handhelds), I really don't care about this.

It's almost as bad as Apple (http://theoatmeal.com/comics/apple). Thank goodness I haven't bitten into Mr Job's forbidden fruit.
It guess its supposed to be a sign of progress? Like "We already have this (reasonably) good console, so lets make it obsolete and create a new/better one so that everyone must give us more money in order to be 'with it', hmm?" Highway robbery if you ask me.
With luck, I get the TV and the N64 tonight! Yay Jet Force!
