Oh well, I'll start one here. I'm going and I'm so looking forward to it.

Hoping to hear Liberi Fatali from Final Fantasy VIII, probably my favorite piece of videogame music.

Hey Yoshimi,

Glad to see there's another Glasgow-bound person on here!

I just found out about the concert and am considering it, the youtube videos look brilliant.

Any other Scottish-based fans going along?

I'm sure this was a minor oversight on behalf of the VGL team, as I'm sure you can imagine they've been exceedingly busy lately organising events and attempting to release the concert CD and DVD. I'm sure now that you've raised the point, one of the admins will create a dedicated thread for you in the Show Dates section!

Why would the go to Glasgow? Isn't that a no mans land since the reaper virus...or was that just a movie...?

I shall be travelling to Glasgow from down south. I went the the concert in London 2007 and am back for more! I hoping to be able to help out this time instead of just watch.

Bring your handhelds! If the concert has a pre-show festival like they did in London, you won't be short of a PSP or DS multiplayer battle!

Hey there Scotland!!

Hmm?? Not sure why there isn't a Scotland thread. Can one of our mods move this thread over there?

We're really looking forward to playing Glasgow in a few weeks!

Hi Gang, I'm also planning to come to the Glasgow show, but I'm not very familiar with the Glasgow Royal Concert halls.

Basically, I want a seat with a decent view of the stage. I don't want something too high so I'm looking at the orchestra's bald spots, but I don't want to be struggling to see over the peeople infront of me.

Any suggestions welcome..

When I booked my ticket this afternoon I was advised that a head on view of the stage would be a good idea. I had originally planned a Terrace C seat which would mean cranking my neck to the left for the whole show. So now I am looking straight on and seemingly next to a mixing desk, which doesn't bother me. When I called up there were very few Arena Stalls seats left, which are probably sold out by now. However I think Terrace B could still be very empty.

To be honest I don't really mind where I sit as long as I am there and can view and enjoy the show!!

Howdy all i'm just back in from the Glasgow show. Was very impressive well done to all who took part, even the guy with 350 points on Frogger :P but i can't help feel disapointed. What happened to The Monkey Island Theme music? please tell me i'm not the only person who was looking forward to it?
anyways thanks for a great night

I just got back from the concert and it was an amazing experience. Me and my husband came all the way from Finland to Glasgow just to see this show and it was absolutely worth it. I've been a gamer for almost 20 years and it's wonderful to hear all those fond memories performed by professionals.

Thank you. We will be joining you again next year, wherever that might be!

(Psst, Helsinki could be worth a shot some day. *hinthint*)

Just to say me and my 3 friends who came to the Glasgow show loved it and would defiantly be there again if it comes back to Scotland and we already know 4 others who would be interested!

Yeah, the Glasgow show was absolutely marvellous! The Scottish National Orchestra and choir did the Scots proud that night and a great service to the video games industry! Well done, great show! Would look forward to seeing them in Edinburgh - it's nearer, ;). I'm from England BTW, lol.

Yeah the show was really fantastic, was blown away by the whole experience to be honest with you. I came down from Aberdeen and only booked last minute as I knew coming down was going to leave me a little short money wise for the rest of the month. It was worth it though and would have been gutted if I hadn't gone.

I also hoped that Monkey Island might have been played but there is only so much they can fit into the show with such a massive amount of games and music to choose from.

Metroid made up for Monkey Island though. Fantastic!
