This thread has the puporse of sharing and discussing our favourite video game quotes. Either phylosophical or funny, either ingame or from the real world. Feel free to complement with orther historical quotes if you feel it to enrich the topic.

I'll start with one from Lost Odyssey, that gave me another prespective on the subject and helped me dealing and accepting some things recently:

The Bioshock series is pure gold when it comes to witty, deep, and scary quotes ever created in a game. It's hard to pick just one, but someone made a speech by putting several of Andrew Ryan's audio logs together that is absolutely bone chilling.

Ugh those stupid cheaters ruin everything! At least there aren't any most of the time... not exactly rare (because I see them somewhat often) but usually there aren't any. The other day, somebody selected Grumble Volcano and NOBODY cheated (although someone did the other day on that level...). When I saw that nobody backed up at the beginning I was actually distracted by my surprise :p

The one disadvantage to playing with multiple people on one tv is the split screen (and some framerate slowdown). I still remain mostly pleased with the general lack of cheaters compared to what it could be. Usually I'll only run into maybe 1 or 2 cheaters each day (if that) while playing for a few hours. Maybe it's just luck though, lol. I still wish that Grumble Volcano wasn't such an issue though; just when I started to not hate that level and even enjoy it somewhat, stupid cheat has to ruin it :mad:. If it wasn't for that, it wouldn't be my least favorite track anymore - that distinction would probably go to Luigi Circuit or Yoshi Falls at this point.

I know I'll probably get a lot of hate for this buuuuuut... Duke Nukem.
For some reason people find the game horribly (well, particularly Forever) done but I grew up with 'Duke Nukem 3D', 'Land of the Babes' and 'Time To Kill'.
Even though I was young, I found it hilarious to play. It's an intense game (for a girl like me who is terrified of almost anything) and the humour gave me so much enjoyment throughout the game.
Then when I got Duke Nukem: Forever I never laughed so much in my life at the quotes!
I think the old Duke Nukem games were fantastic with quotes but I have to hand it to Forever. I found it more amusing and that is possibly because of the references to other games and movies.
For example: "I don't dig on swine." - Quote from Pulp Fiction.
"Power armor is for pussies!" - I assume from Halo considering he's looking at something that resembles a Master Chiefs power armour.

I also love the classic quotes from the originals and the newly developed ones for Forever.

Cannot beat Duke Nukem when looking for some humour during a gameplay! <3
