So...what would you guys do if that was your instrument? I think I would kill something if that happened to me in the middle of a performance. :eek:

Same thing almost happened to me once..
Was mock rehearsing backstage with less than 5 minutes to perform when a guitar string snapped. Luckily a friend brought an extra string..
Fixed the thing about 5 seconds before our names were called..ugh..
Easily one of the most scariest moments in my life.

How can you tell when a violist is playing out of tune? The bow is moving.
He sounded fine after the 15 second mark though!

(Just kidding, I actually like violas. But I couldn't resist the viola joke temptation :D)

Now if that were to happen to me I would have to kill myself. On a related note (ha ha band humor) a friend of mines flute was ran over by a car, poor thing didn't stand a chance.

Don't worry don. When my dead body is taken off stage during the concert a random 1-up will appear I'll be good as new and wouldn't have to sit on stage instrumentless. :p

Honestly, I would be really, really embarrassed; to kill myself is an overstatement.

I got it, just mocking you. :p The ideia of extrenme depression over a funny accident such as that makes it incorrectly funnier.

Considering that violin could have been $10,000 or more, and most people aren't smart enough to get it insured...some people might just feel like that. :p

That's why I get mad at people who whine about how expensive their $25 guitar strings are. My cello strings cost like 8 times more than that, and you don't see me whining. :p
