If you're being specific, the caption were referring to the Poke Centers in the game - the most used facility, which heals your Pokemons completely, obviously requiring expensive equipment, yet is open to millions (if not billions) of Poke Trainers with God knows how many Pokemon each them own - but charge 350 yen for a cup of lemonade.
Am I safe to assume you've play the game before?

But I have to agree with Swish, medical care should be a universal right. Unfortunatly, medicine is seen rather as a business. In many countries, pharmaceutics even add their products on television. Pills shouldn't be promoted like that. A pill or any other kind of medicine, should be advised by a doctor and chosen accordingly to the patient's needs, not chosen by some add on the TV.

Since 2009, every time a "why" and a "serious" is present in a sentence, a Joker pic inevitably follows.

Speaking of sonic games, sega needs to grow a brain and realize they NEED to make another game with a chao garden in it. If you have a TV card on your computer you can record the stream out of you console with the right cable. If you don't, there are cables and software that are usually sold to convert old VHS into digital formats that you can use for that.

For older systems, you can always use an emulator with screen capture enabled, however, you'll have to have hardware that enables you to copy save files (or do it all over again xD).

I think I've had my geeky holiday fix for a few months, at least until Talk Like A Pirate Day :p Considering how big of a SW fan I am, I didn't know about the whole May 4 thing until last year after I missed it, but I remembered it this year! Yayy!

Is it sad that I watched the entire Holiday Special a few years ago? Yeah!! And I'm proud of it! They should really release it on Blu-ray. Hey! I love those teddy bears! Actually, Return of the Jedi has always been my favorite of the SW movies, even though I acknowledge that in most ways, Empire is probably the "best" one and I love all of the original trilogy. I also like the SNES RotJ game the best out of the three.

As for the prequels, I don't hate them (just WHYY Hayden Christensen, I was laughing through most of the supposedly dramatic parts because of him! I think Ewan McGregor saved the prequels in a lot of ways...). I just enjoy the original trilogy a lot more.

But I still don't think the movies are as bad as people say. They introduced a whole new universe of ideias an plots in the SW universe. Some good, some bad. There are things that I'd definitly change, but I don't see it as a complete failure, far from that.

I think they need to do some of the Star Wars stories of the future, preferably the continuation fiction NOT written by Georgie. Not that I don't appreciate what he did for mainstream sci-fi, of course!! Anyway, i think the time is right for some intriguing next generation stuff... Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher wouldn't quite fit as young, virulent crusaders anymore, but they'd make excellent cameo parts for the continuing adventures of Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin Solo!! Though it wouldn't be right to not have Han swearing at the Millenium Falcon, and if Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is any indication, Ford can still do action... 'Damn! I thought that was closer!!' Mr. Hamill returns as the wise and wrinkly mentor, and Mara Jade could be introduced to the masses... There's plenty of potential for this franchise, really.

Of course, no one likes to beat a dead horse more than Mr. Spielberg, so there's always hope!

Yeah, I agree. I actually enjoy watching the prequels (yes, even Episode I, although it's probably my least favorite of the series... but it gave us Episode I: Racer the video game! :D)
But I just don't understand why Hayden Christensen was picked for the role of Anakin... there were NO better actors out there that tried out for that role? I doubt it. Most of his scenes, especially the Anakin/Padme love scenes, look like they were made as a project for some introductory acting class (wait, I think I've actually seen better acting in some of those classes).
I mean: "You're in my very soul... tormenting me."
Yeah, the writing isn't the best either but his delivery of the lines just makes everything 10x worse.

Sci-fi before Star Wars was low-budget campy goofy stuff (like Godzilla and My Girlfriend Fell In Love With An Alien and that kind of thing) that teenagers went to the drive-in so they could make out during it. Granted, some teenagers still do this, but now, when people go to a sci-fi movie, they WATCH it.

Also, mainstream, to me, is stuff that EVERYONE has heard of. Ask a regular joe on the street, and he will probably know who Worf and Data, or what a Millenium Falcon is, or whether the Matrix is real or not, and he might even know what is living in Teal'c's tummy. But if you quiz him on the nature of Mal Reynold's relationship with Inara, or who won Ender's Game, he might not be so quick to answer... that's all i meant by "mainstream".

Oddly enough, even though I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan, I'm not much of a sci-fi fan. I guess it's because SW is more of a "science fantasy" than a sci-fi, and I like fantasy movies/stories.

I don't know, I think KotCS had a good ending with enough closure (even if the movie itself isn't my favorite - I like LC best and RotLA close second). Mutt came too close to getting the hat at the end and I was so happy when Indy took it away from him. I'm afraid that if they make another movie they'd give him the hat. That cannot happen. Indiana Jones movies are about Indiana Jones and while I didn't mind Mutt too much as "Indy's son", there's no way I want to see him as the main character of a movie.

Not only are cats liars, they are also tricksters and cheats. Let me tell you a long-winded story....

DISCLAIMER: VERY LONG-WINDED. SERIOUSLY. PLEASE DON'T KILL ME, MYRPH.

Back when the world was new and Man had only just begun to learn how to exist in the world, he met a Woman and together they created a home within a cave in the Wild Lands. Many Wild Animals lived in the vicinity and this strange occurence troubled them, so they got together and had a council to see what must be done about it.

"It will be a waste of time, trying to talk to them," said The Cat Who Walks By Himself.

But Wild Dog said that he would go to the cave and speak with the Man and see what he was about. So he did.

When he arrived, Woman met him at the door. Now Woman was a wise and clever creature, and she had unbound her hair and had made all things ready for making magics. When Wild Dog saw her, he was alarmed by this unprecedented event, and he began to growl and bark. However, Woman smiled at him and held out a small tidbit of something that smelled terribly delicious, and soon Wild Dog had calmed himself and was inching forward in order to taste this marvelous thing.

"Listen to me, Wild Dog," Woman said. "If you will be a companion to my husband when he goes out on his hunts, and protect our home from theives, then you shall have a warm place to sleep in and plenty of food like this." She tossed Wild Dog the roasted meat, and he ate it, and it was wonderful.

"I will do it," Wild Dog said. "Please may I have some more?"

"Of course. Come in! But you are no longer Wild Dog; you will now be called First Friend," Woman agreed. She tied a ribbon around his neck as he went through the door, and he was no longer a Wild Animal. And so it has been to this day.

The next night, the Wild Animals gathered again. "What has happened to Wild Dog?" they wondered, and they were afraid. "I will go and see what has happened to him," Wild Horse promised.

"Probably they killed him and ate him," said The Cat Who Walks By Himself. "Like as not they will do it to you too."

But Wild Horse was very brave, and Wild Dog had been one of his dearest friends, so away he went to the Man's cave.

When he got there, Woman met him at the door. She held a pan of something that rattled and rustled and sounded like it would taste very nice. Wild Horse snorted, but he could see Wild Dog sleeping happily beside the fire, and he was curious.

"Listen to me, Wild Horse," Woman said. "If you will work hard for my husband, carrying him on your back when he goes hunting, and pulling at the plow when he works in the field, then you shall have a safe place to rest each night and you may have all the sweet hay and oats that you can eat." She laid the pan on the ground and Wild Horse ate the hay and oats and it was wonderful.

"I will do it," Wild Horse said. "Please may I have some more?"

"Yes! Come in! But from now on, you will be known as First Helper." And as Wild Horse came through the door, Woman slipped a bridle over his head, and he was no longer a Wild Animal. And so it has been to this day.

The next night, the Wild Animals met again. "First Wild Dog, now Wild Horse!" they cried. "Don't worry, I will go and set things right," Wild Cow said.

"I'm warning you, you'll end up on a platter! You shouldn't go!" said The Cat Who Walks By Himself.

But Wild Cow (who had always thought Cat was a nuisance) ignored the warnings and went to the cave.

When she got there, Woman met her at the door. Tonight she looked very tired and distraught, and a horrible racket was coming from inside the cave, but in her hand she held a little pot that smelled very sweet. "Listen to me, Wild Cow," Woman said. "If you will share with me a little of your milk, so that I may feed it to the Baby, and make cheese and butter besides, you shall have all the sweet hay and oats you like, just like the First Helper, and a safe place to sleep, and molasses besides." And she set down the pot, and Wild Cow tasted the molassess and it was wonderful.

"I will do it," Wild Cow said. "Please may I have some more?"

"Certainly; come inside! But from now on, you will be known as First Provider." As Wild Cow came inside, Woman slipped a collar with a bell on it around her neck, and she ceased to be a Wild Animal. And so it has been to this day.

After this, the Wild Animals gave up their dealings with Man and especially with Woman, and Woman bound up her hair and stopped making magics with the animals in any case. But The Cat Who Walks By Himself often came near the cave and watched his old friends going about their new and very happy lives indoors, and he was jealous. So one morning, when Man and First Friend and First Helper were out hunting, and First Provider was grazing on the far side of the hill, he came to the door of the cave.

"Woman, may I come in?" Cat asked.

"Hah! I have all the helpers that I need already. My hair is bound up, and I do not need tricksters and liars in my house. Go back to the wilds, cat," Woman denied him.

Cat tidied his whiskers. "Can I make with you a little wager?" he asked, and Woman rolled her eyes and nodded. He looked up at the great buffalo-skin that hung across the door and said, "Listen to me, Door. If I can get the Woman to say one word in my favour, then she must let me come inside to sleep at night." The Door rustled as a witness.

Woman laughed. "You are clever, Cat, but you are not more clever than me!"

When the Door heard this, it immediately rustled off to the side, for Woman had said the Cat was clever. Cat scampered inside and stretched out on the cool stone floor, a satisfied smile on his face.

"Hey! That isn't fair!" Woman complained.

"But you agreed to the wager," Cat said coyly. "I can now come in and go out as I please, but I am still The Cat Who Walks By Himself! You have no power over me!"

"That may be," Woman admitted angrily. "But you have only gained the privilege of coming inside the door. You may not have anything to eat and you may not come near the warm fire to sleep. The Door will also be my witness." And the Door rustled again.

That night, Cat slept inside the door and watched Man and Woman and Baby and Dog and Horse and Cow enjoying the warmth of the fire. By now, the floor was very cold, and it was raining outside, and every time the wind blew, water woudl drip all over Cat, and he was jealous. But every time he got up to move closer to the fire, Woman would glare at him and shake her head.

The next morning, after Man and Dog and Horse and Cow were all gone for the day, Cat spoke to Woman again. "Would you care to make another wager?" he asked.

Woman was more wary this time, but she was sure Cat would not outwit her this time. "Why not?" she shrugged.

Cat looked over at the hearth and said "Listen to me, Hearth. If I can get Woman to say a second word in my favour, she must let me come near to you and lie next to you, on that lovely sheepskin rug, so that I may sleep warm and dry at night." The Hearth crackled in response.

"You will not be so lucky this time, you miserable thing," Woman said triumphantly. "For there is nothing you could do that will ever make me say a good word about you again!"

And so Woman went about her daily chores, with Cat following at her heels. The time came for First Provider to share her milk, and when she went inside to fetch some oats for the cow, Wild Mouse, startled out of a nap, leapt from the grain-pile and scurried willy-nilly under Woman's feet. With a shriek, Woman climbed onto a heap of firewood, but The Cat Who Walks By Himself rushed in, caught Wild Mouse, and ate him in one gulp.

"Thank goodness, you wonderful brave thing!" Woman exclaimed, and an instant later, the Hearth crackled loudly and Cat scampered over to lie on the soft sheepskin rug.

"Drat and drat again!" Woman cried, but she did not complain, for indeed the Cat had won the wager.

"Now I can come and go as I please, and I may sleep here beside the fire!" Cat chuckled. "And still I am The Cat Who Walks By Himself! You still have no power over me!"

"Remember this, you flea-bitten ingrate," Woman growled. "You may come inside and sleep beside the fire, but you will not get even a drop of water from me for sustenance. The Hearth will also be my witness." And the Hearth crackled again in agreement.

That night, Cat lounged on the rug while the rest of the family made merry around him, and Cat began to be quite jealous. The Horse and the Cow munched happily upon their hay, and Man and Woman and Dog feasted on sweet roast pork and fine cheese and Baby drank milk in a most wasteful manner. Wild Mouse had provided a decent sort of meal, but Cat was getting hungry, and the food and milk smelled so lovely, but every time he crept near the platter or the crock, Woman would glare at him and shake her head.

The next morning, after Man and Horse and Dog and Cow had left again, Cat approached the woman. "Would you like to make another wager?"

"No," Woman said, and gave the cat a superior smile. Cat pouted for a while, but it made no difference to the Woman, because she was ever so stubborn. She went about her chores and played with Baby when he was awake, and soon the day grew long and the time when Man would be home for supper drew near. Woman got up to roast him a meal, but Baby began to cry and would not be comforted unless Woman played with him and carried him about. "I do not have time!" Woman protested, but Baby would only cry louder.

Cat approached and said, "Allow me to entertain him, Woman," he suggested.

Woman looked at him doubtfully. "And why would you do this?" she asked.

"I will do it if you will make a final wager with me," the Cat said.

THE STORY RESUMES:

The Woman threw up her hands. "Fine. One more wager. Anything if it will quiet this noise!"

The Cat looked at the Platter and the Crock. "If I can get Woman to say one last thing in my favour, then she must let me have all the sweet milk I wish to drink, and all the roasted meat that I want to eat." The Platter rattled and the Crock rocked in acceptance.

"If you can really do anything to better this crying, then you will deserve any praise I might give you," Woman snorted. The Cat grinned at her and scurried outside.

Woman sighed and went about her work, and Baby cried and cried. "That Cat is doing no good whatsoever," she growled. But Cat returned just then, with a pretty blue feather in his mouth. He dropped it on the floor beside Baby, then went about trying to catch it again in the most foolishly acrobatic manner that the Woman had ever seen. He leapt and twisted and crashed into the wall and fell over and shook himself and when at last he succeeded to catch the feather again, he only let it go once more and began the process anew. Baby had ceased his crying and now laughed in delight, clapping his little hands at the cat's antics, and forgetting completely that his mother had left him while she worked.

The meal was made ready, and Woman went to retrieve the Baby. Cat looked up eagerly at her, but Woman only smiled vindictively at him. "There! Mommy is all finished!" she cooed to the baby.

"Kitty! Kitty!" the baby laughed.

"Yes, he's a very funny kitty, isn't he!" Woman chattered to her infant.

Immediately, the Platter toppled from the table and the Crock spilled out on the floor, and amidst Woman's cry of dismay, Cat strolled over and began to lap the milk from the floor and nibble at the scraps of meat beside the table. "Now I can come and go as I please, and sleep beside the fire, and eat and drink my fill of meat and milk, and still I am the Cat Who Walks By Himself! You still have no power over me!"

Woman sighed. "You are right, Cat. You have won!" And to this day, there is hardly a woman who can resist giving all these priveleges to a cat.

Just then, Man, carrying his muddy boots, gloves and hammer, and Dog returned from their day's work. Man saw Cat drinking the milk and he asked "Woman, what is going on here?"

Woman shrugged helplessly. "I lost a wager with Cat. Because I praised him for being clever, he is allowed to come inside, and because I praised him for killing the mouse, he is allowed to sleep by the fire, and because I praised him for entertaining Baby, he is allowed to eat and drink the meat and the milk."

Man crossed his arms and glared at Cat. "That may very well be," he declared. "But made your wagers with Woman, not me, and I tell you now, if you wish for all the same privileges to be extended by me, for this is my house as well, you must continue to do the work of removing pests and befriending my children. If you do not, I will be sure to throw you out!"

"And you did not make your wagers with me either," Dog added. "I am charged with protecting this house from intruders and ne'er-do-wells, and rest assured I will be quick to chase you if you do not do as Man has ordered."

Cat sat up and licked his whiskers. "You may make all the demands that you wish," he replied airily, "but I will only do these duties if it pleases me to do them. For I am The Cat Who Walks By Himself, and no one has any power over me!" And from that day, cats have always been contrary.

When Man heard this remark, he grew angry and threw his things at Cat, striking him with both boots and the hammer, and Dog rose up with a vicious bark and chased him out of the cave and up a tree. And to this day, three out of five men will kick a cat when they see one, or at least throw something at it, and any good dog will chase one up a tree.

Some of the evolutions of the pokemon types baffle me, such as Blastoise turning from turtle to shellfish... others are puppy --> legendary (Growlithe/Arcanine) and fish-->atrocious(Magikarp-Gyarados). HENH? And i don't even play pokemon... I just read my little sister's official pokemon handbook to her when she was younger.

Some of the evolutions of the pokemon types baffle me, such as Blastoise turning from turtle to shellfish... others are puppy --> legendary (Growlithe/Arcanine) and fish-->atrocious(Magikarp-Gyarados). HENH? And i don't even play pokemon... I just read my little sister's official pokemon handbook to her when she was younger.

Yeah, some really don't make sense. Arcanine is cool looking but it's not a "legendary" Pokemon... although in I think the 2nd episode of Pokemon, Ash sees a tablet on the wall with images of two legendary birds, Ho-Oh (who he had seen in the first episode and is the reason for him looking at the tablet), and Arcanine. They left out one of the legendary birds for Arcanine o_0

As for Magikarp (fish) turning into Gyarados (atrocious), it makes more sense. Magikarp is an incredibly weak Pokemon who has about zero use in battle, but it evolves into a giant dragon-like rampaging beast. What confuses me more is why they made Gyarados, a Pokemon who can't learn any flying-type moves, part flying type... I'm not sure if the "no flying type moves" thing still applies completely but it still doesn't make much sense.

Happy Boss's Day everyone! Lets share and talk about bosses we've experienced; just remember to keep it clean though. I will actually post at least one boss everyday this week because I just love talking about all of my bosses; you may do so too if you wish!

Unknown A.K.A Mysterious Figure

To start this whole thing without him would be a grave mistake; which is where your character will most likely be when you fight him. I Kefka hate this boss! Really S.E what did we do to deserve this; I can't help it if you made KH II Sephiroth easier than any of the secret bosses of KH I! In case you haven't got it yet this is the hardest boss I've ever been up against; how hard you ask? The official strategy guide sums it up like this - 'You're screwed.' Okay, so it actually has a strategy, but guess what? IT'S USELESS!!! :mad:

Thankfully, there is a guide online, but it still ultimately comes down to what type of mood the boss is in. The theme is great, but the only thing you'll hear is the annoying sound of 'YOU'RE GONNA DIE' ring and the rapid beating of your heart; your neighbors may also hear the sounds of colorful vocabulary.

Other than his name you’d better take this oinker seriously. Of course, I’m talking about the Nintendo 64 version which is much harder compared to the DS. I guess the game developers had some remorse for us younger kids when we challenged him for the first time. It broke my heart when I had to pick a different character just to beat that hog; if you’re curious my main is normally Timber, but I had to use that darn mouse to beat him. His story? To cure his boredom he learns racing and decides to challenge other worldly creatures; the prize is the planet of course.

First thing is first, the entire story mode of F-ZERO GX is like a final boss; EVERYTHING is extremely difficult! This thing definitely takes the trophy for being the hardest racing boss; for me at least. The track, Phantom Road, is like Rainbow Road, but it went on a diet and it has no rails; for those who may not know when you go of the track it over. Add the fact you need to outrace this abomination and it comes very stressful.

Second thing as if you haven’t noticed there’s no present picture of it; I guess he’s camera shy. That said all I can give is a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUbqW7B1W6o). Note, the entire story makes perfect sense and the voices are top quality. What exactly is the creator? I don’t know for sure, but it’s thought that it’s actually meant to represent those who ‘made’ the game.

Other than looking like a giant mutated peapod monster this boss did play an important role. I was having trouble with which version of Sonic Unleashed to get; the Wii or a 360. One thing that I find crucial is what the final boss is like; so I went to see how they compared. In the end I thought the 360 version was superior so I got that one even though I was aware it scored lesser than the Wii. It was a good and bad thing.

The feel of the battle was tense and long, which I don’t mind, but then it got frustrating… very frustrating. You have to control something that’s super slow and an extremely easy target for your opponent; the rocks are very hard to dodge and then there’s the laser- UGH! Once you get close enough you have to box him and then you finally get to control Sonic, but then lose it again for you must do the same thing several more times!

What’s strange is the second half is much easier compared to the later; not to mention way cooler. Ultimately what makes it annoyingly hard, besides the previous mentioned, is if you die you don’t go to the beginning of the Dark Gaia fight… no that would make too much sense… you have to verse the final Eggman boss again just to challenge the said. Granted, the final Eggman boss is very simple, at me to least, but it’s just more added time that you want to be spending against the final boss.

Oh! I almost forgot! There’s also a number of “loading” screens in the first half of the fight; it kind of kills the moment if you ask me.

When you look them up for videos you’ll mostly see players owning them, but that’s hardly the case for your average player; especially when you first challenge them. What makes these individuals hard for me is my main is King who’s best at throwing, which is something you can’t do against them. So other than some characters fairing better at fighting them the bosses themselves have very nasty move sets; most notably the auto-block and stun which leaves you open for a complete onslaught. I've heard that another Tekken boss, Nancy, is supposedly harder, but if that's the case I don't want to fight it.

Why do I bring this guy up? I’ve yet to beat it. I had to give the person the game back before I could ever complete it. Maybe someday if I see the game really cheap I’ll get it just so I can say I finished it; because it has left a bad taste in my mouth for a long time…

If you're saying using King's hard, how about trying using Yoshimitsu?! They completely butcher him in 6, even fighting goddamn n00bs are GODDAMN HARD. AWESOME JOB NAMCO..

I'd say the easiest way to defeat these mothertruckers is to spam attacks that push them away at a considerable distance. Jinpachi was cake after you can predict what he's gonna do after you throw him away.

Azazel on the other hand, I still can't manage to beat him, mainly because I don't have a PS3 to practice with. Practising at the arcade is quite (when I say quite, I meant REALLY) frustrating, especially when some prick WHICH TURNS OUT TO BE BETTER THAN YOU JUST DECIDES TO INTERRUPT YOU TRAINING!!!

I've heard that another Tekken boss, Nancy, is supposedly harder, but if that's the case I don't want to fight it.

Ah Bowser… my long time nemesis since 1990; at the sweet innocent age of two and something months. Who knew that this was just the first step of what would become the continuous pummeling of your hopes and dreams. Sure there were a few shakeups such as joining Mario and friends in RPG, which blew my mind, but mostly things stayed as they should. I don’t mind playing as you in games, but lately… you’ve been soft. What ever happened to your mean streak like you had in Super Mario 64?

I don't know exactly what kind of funny you were thinking of... funny-looking, or funny-sounding, or causing-a-funny-effect. For instance, to me, a funny gun would be one that looks like its made of silly string, or that shoots silly string, or turns enemies into big piles of silly string. But I am not aware of a gun (real or imagined) that does such a thing.

Anyways, this was the best I could think of off the top of my head... the little "toot-toot" it makes after firing gives me a giggle anyways, and its actually a pretty effective weapon!

Games based on movies usually SUCK, they just exist as a way for some people to make extra money on the hype of a movie; and even if the developers really want to create something interesting, the time is not enough and they are always rushed into releasing the game at a specific (and ludicrous) deadline.

That being said, when games are adapted into movies... well... you've seen them, some can actually be some kind of fun but most of them are just embarassing.

And then we have Street Fighter (the game) which spawned an awful movie starring Jean Claude Van Damme as Guile. But the movie can't suck enough by itself, so then they created a game based on a movie that was based on a game.

And there we have a game called Street Fighter: The Movie (Yeah, it's called "the movie" but it's a game, maybe the movie should have been called "Street Fighter: The Game" :P)

I could go on describing just how bad the game is, but a quick look at the picture below should make my point.

There is one movie-based game that I've played that I enjoyed! That being said, I haven't played heaps of games of any genre, so there might be more out there (movie-based games) that are decent.

This one was fun, and even more fun once I discovered some of the cheats!!

It's quite unbelievable how much fun I had playing this!

That being said, I was never much of a PC gamer, I've played only a handful of games on a PC.
