Now Im totally hooked with the thing but I do realise that theres something better gonna come out soon after n the M11X will be old school..

Really depends on what you need. If the M11X satisfies all of your requirements, then I don't see why not. If you live by the mentality that something better will come out soon, you'll never buy anything, because everything just gets better and better.
And for your information, the M11X line just went through an overhaul, where they've now included Core i3, i5, and i7 choices, so I don't think they'll be revamping the line anytime soon. Then again, that's in the U.S. I'm not sure how things work over in Malaysia.

Yeah, the i3, i5 and i7 came out already..thanks for the info btw..
The thing is, I've found an Acer which costs about $450 with an i3 and a 1GB 5450 ATI GPU..
M11X on the other hand costs $700 that comes with same processor but with a nVidia 1GB GPU..I do realize that we're paying extra for those illuminated keyboards..
So I'm really in a dilemma here..I don't mind forking out $700 but if a same spec/better and cheaper thing is out there, then that leftover money could net me, say, Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2..:D

Typically, Alienware PCs tend to be high spec but cost ridiculously more than they ought to, although look incredible and could be worth the extra cost for the extra awesome. I'm not sure how big a presence Sony has over there, but some of their Vaio laptops have surprisingly high specs (especially the graphics/media centre type ones), with decent processors, discrete graphics chips and a decent amount of ram, as well as often having a deal which boosts it with something awesome like a blu-ray player or a larger hard drive.
The other good thing about the Sony laptops is that they're often customisable like the Alienware ones, whereas something like an Asus or an Acer typically aren't.
It depends on what you want though, as to what you want to buy. If you can get an Alienware with all the specifications you want, which you can't find elsewhere, then do it! If you can find an alternative, I'd definitely recommend checking it out.
I also find Alienware too expensive. When it comes to laptops I tend to prefer Asus. But truth is, I haven't played attention to the laptop market in a while.
Anyway, I go back to my original advice: if you don't really need a laptop, put toguether your desktop.
My desktop beats every Alienware M17x spec and by much lesser cost. Also beats Area-51 in specs and cost.

That generally goes without saying for any desktop over a comparable laptop. And a DIY computer over a boutique computer. After all, you pay quite a bit for the name.
But on the matter of Alienware, yeah, you're probably paying quite a bit for the name, the lights, the design, and their in-built battery stuff. So you'll really need to weigh your options and decide what you think is right for you.

Area-51 is a desktop btw.

I know. That's why I added the "And a DIY computer over a boutique computer" right after the phrase you quoted me on.

LOL
Sorry, misread.
