I think you need to be a cellist and be familiar with the all the musicians he's imitating to actually get the comedy behind it, else its a peculiar looking man with a dodgy haircut doing manic things with a cello!

You don't really need to be a cellist to get the joke, especially if you've seen videos of these people performing. :p I was amazed at how he got each one right. xD

Well, I must admit, I didn't recognise any of the names mentioned, although I don't watch an awful lot (read: virtually none) of classical performances, so I had nothing to relate it to. If you could link us to a few videos of the people he is imitating though, which highlight their particular nuances, that would be awesome!
