This (http://ssbrumbleds.blogspot.com/) is a project I've been following close for the last months.
I've got my hopes high in it.

I just hope Nintendo doesn't kill it like it did with Chrono Ressurrection.

Hmm, looks intriguing, though I suspect that it will get shut down as soon as it gets enough attention to be noticed...

Dunno though, they've been pretty persistent and "anonymous".
I believe if Nintendo does not approve the project they just go undergroud.

Nintendo approved Chrono Ressurection at the beggining, the decided to put it down when someone decided ro re-relese Chrono Trigger for the DS.
I'm more concerned about 4th partyes such as Sega, for including some of their characters.

That's rather interesting. I've always thought why Nintendo has no interest in making a Smash Bros. game for a handheld; not that I wouldn't want them to milk it, but I don't see the harm in making one.

I never saw the harm in making Chrone Ressurrection. I bet if they negociated with them and port it for Wii it would have been a greater money resource than the port of the original for the DS. You never know.

But since nintendo wasn't planning on launching SSB for the DS and they've just lost a court process to the DS SD card adapters for illegally limmiting 3rd parties in autonomous development, I don't believe they'll try to stop this project.
