YS (hehe lil easter egg there btw)
Been awhile since this talented muscian / producer has done interviews.
Glad to see YS's in the spotlight, curious what they have been up to lately.
big suprise maybe?

Yes, she did. She is also responsible for the awesome Somnus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AqJZyHRGtM) from the Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer (btw, anyone as any news on that title?).

I wonder how it would turn out if Yoko Shimomora, Tommy Tallarico and Nobuo Uematsu were to work on a video game?
Preferbably, an RPG from Bioware.. :D

I think Shinomura and Uematsu would work toguether fine. Tommy has a different style.
And I strongly have to disagree with you involving Bioware, let Jack do that job.

Yeah, I kinda have to agree with this. I just don't know that Uematsu and Shimomora would fit with most Bioware games. Not saying that they couldn't though.

Yes, another fantastic soundtrack :D
I think I noticed the similarities when I heard this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfDnPahg8ro) music in KH and realized it reminded me of this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stQwA-0n4_I) music from Mario RPG.
On a random sidenote, Yoko Shimomura also composed the music for an NES game called Adventures in the Magic Kingdom (also from Disney). That game's kinda fun (and pretty difficult).

True that, but who knows..things have a way of going differently than the way you expect..
Also, composers are versatile or can be versatile..

To a certain extent. Uematsu has created music in the most different genres, but his music has his signature there. There are some harmonic moods and note tendencies that characterize his work.

But they can make it work if they work on different parts of the game..
And music from Advent Rising is quite similar to some works by Uematsu-san..
