I doubt that will happen. However, it has been done on various orchestral concerts feature film scores before. I have a CD recording of it performed by the Cincinnati Pops, actually. It's the last track on their album Fantastic Journey.

Wow you're bringing back a lot of fun memories. You know, there is a small group of films from that era that are so special. Small little gems that are not Star Wars or Raiders or ET. Here's my list of "classics" in the genre from then:

Tron
The Last Starfighter
Labryinth
The Dark Crystal
The Black Hole (NOTE: a Disney film and "controversial" at the time because it was the first ever film rated PG-13!)

Well one I can think of right now while at work is The Goonies.

That is my favorite movie still. :)
